1. Who we are

thecattoken.com is a community-run fan and info site for The Cat Token (CAT), an ERC-20 token on Ethereum that launched in August 2020.

The site is run by community volunteers, led by Lion Heart. We are not a company, exchange, broker, or financial service of any kind. We're just cat people making cat things.

2. Not financial advice, and no offer

• Nothing on this site is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice.
• CAT is not offered or sold through this site. We don't take your money and we don't run a sale.
• We make no promises about value, returns, exchange listings, or price. None.
• Memes, comics, news blurbs, and community posts are opinions and entertainment, not facts or recommendations.

Do your own research, and only spend what you can afford to lose.

3. Crypto risks

Crypto is risky. Please read this part carefully.

• Volatility: prices can swing wildly, and a token can go to zero.
• Liquidity: CAT can have low liquidity, so buying or selling may be hard or move the price a lot.
• Tech risks: smart contracts, wallets, and blockchains can have bugs, outages, or exploits.
• Scams and impersonators: fake tokens, fake "support" accounts, and fake airdrops are common. Only trust links listed on this site. No one from the community will ever ask for your seed phrase or private keys.
• No take-backs: blockchain transactions are irreversible. Mistakes can't be undone by us or anyone else.
• Your keys, your job: you are responsible for your wallet, your keys, and your seed phrase.
• Laws and taxes: you are responsible for following the laws and paying any taxes where you live.

4. Token facts

Supply figures on this site come from public on-chain data: 15M total supply, about 4M burned, and about 11M circulating. Third-party trackers may show different numbers.

Price charts and widgets come from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Always check on-chain data yourself before you make any decision.

CAT exists on Ethereum only. There is no official CAT on any other chain (for example Base) unless we announce it here.

5. Not affiliated

We are not affiliated with MoonCatRescue or any other "MoonCat" NFT project. We are also not affiliated with the exchanges, wallets, trackers, or other services linked on this site. A link is not an endorsement or partnership.

6. Games and kids

• The games are free fun. There is no real money and there are no prizes.
• In-game "prices," scores, and rewards are pretend and have no value.
• Kids are welcome to play. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
• Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian for anything that involves a wallet or crypto.

7. Draw-a-Cat and your content

• You keep ownership of your drawings.
• By submitting, you give the site a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your submission in the gallery and to use it to promote the community.
• Submissions are moderated. We can refuse or remove any submission at any time.
• Not allowed: nudity, hate, harassment, personal information (yours or anyone else's), copyrighted work, or AI-generated or stolen art passed off as your own.
• One submission per wallet per day (when the gallery opens).
• Any future NFT minting is optional. It happens on public blockchains, network fees are paid by you, and a mint can't be undone. Any proceeds or royalty terms will be shown at the time of minting, and marketplace royalties may be optional.

8. Third-party links and services

The site links to or embeds services we don't control, like wallets, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), price trackers, chart and data providers, and social platforms (Discord, Telegram, X, YouTube). Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we aren't responsible for them.

This site uses Google Analytics to understand traffic in general (for example page views and rough location or device type). Google may use cookies or similar tech for this. You can block it with browser settings, an ad or tracker blocker, or Google's opt-out add-on.

9. As-is, no warranties

The site, games, and content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do our best, but things can be wrong, out of date, or broken.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the community volunteers behind this site are not liable for any losses or damages from using (or not being able to use) the site, its content, or any linked service, including trading losses.

The site can change, pause, or go offline at any time, without notice.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after an update, you agree to the new version.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA.
